Midland Provincial Park is a small provincial park located just outside of Drumheller at the site of the former Midland Coal Mine. This coal mine closed after a large mine explosion in the 1920s killed many miners. Midland Provincial Park today is home to the Royal Tyrell Museum of Paleontology.
